Parkinson's              Disease

Parkinson’s disease (PD) is a degenerative disorder of the central nervous system that often impairs the patient’s motor skills, speech and other functions. Autologous Precursor Stem Cell Therapy has shown great promise at regenerating the central nervous system in general. In PD in particular, the neurons that die are responsible for connecting a structure in the brain. Such neuronal connections allow for the releases of the chemical transmitter dopamine onto their target neurons in the striatum, which controls body movement. Therefore, it is the regeneration of these dopamine-producing neurons which restores normal body movement. Autologous Precursor Stem Cell Therapy has shown to be effective at this regeneration.
